CS Management Team

Cathy Perillo Cathy has been teaching in the Dept. of Crop and Soil Sciences at WSU (Pullman, and Distance Ed) since fall 1997, and an affiliate faculty member with CSANR since 2002. In that time, she has been teaching a variety of classes, including Land Use and Soil Management, World Agricultural Systems, Research Presentations, and Sustainable Agriculture, and most recently Science, Society and Sustainable Food Systems, Field Analysis of Sustainable Food Systems, and Introductory Soils. She has also taught Environmental Biophysics, and Soil Fertility and Plant Nutrition.

Prior to coming to WSU, Cathy worked with cropping systems research at the University of Minnesota’s Southwest Research and Outreach Center in rural SW Minnesota and taught introductory soils at SW State University in nearby Marshall, MN. Cathy received her Ph.D. and MS in Soil Science from the University of Minnesota and WSU, respectively. Her BA is in Biology from Middlebury College in Vermont.
