PERMISSION TO ACCESS MATERIALS
Permission to use Cultivating Success
TM
developed course materials and documents, including the Sustainable
Small Farming and Ranching Instructor Manual, the Sustainable Small
Farming and Ranching Student Resource Handbook, the Agricultural
Entrepreneurship and Business Planning Instructor Manual and Lesson
Plans, and the Farmer Mentor Handbook.
Please review the following statements. By clicking on “I Agree” you are
signifying that you agree with each clause and the Terms of Use
developed by Cultivating Success
TM.
The purpose and mission of the Cultivating Success
TM
Sustainable Small Farm and Ranch Education Program are to
create and implement
educational programs to increase the number and foster the success of
sustainable small farmers and ranchers. To accomplish this, a
collaborative team from the
University of Idaho,
Washington State University and
Rural Roots, Inc. has developed a community-based education
program, curriculum, and materials in Sustainable Small Farming and
Ranching.
Curriculum materials and lessons plans were developed by Cultivating
Success
TM
as a guide for instructors teaching courses in the Cultivating Success
TM
community-based learning program or for continuing educational credit.
Under this agreement, Cultivating Success
TM
is granting permission to you or your organization to reproduce and
utilize these curriculum materials as follows:
Cultivating Success
TM
curriculum materials and lesson plans are protected by copyright and any
use of these materials other than as authorized under this license is
prohibited. Cultivating Success
TM
grants you a non-exclusive world-wide license to use the curriculum
materials and lesson plans for the purposes set forth in this license.
By exercising any rights provided under this license, you agree
to be bound by the terms of this license.
Cultivating Success
TM
curriculum materials and lesson plans are a collection of individual
works, which are included for instructor use in unmodified form.
Each work constitutes a separate and independent work in itself.
When using an individual work provided by Cultivating Success
TM,
you agree to be bound by the terms of this license unless you secure
separate and additional permission from the copyright holder of the
individual work.
You may reproduce and distribute curriculum materials and lesson plans
provided by Cultivating Success
TM
only if you are a non-profit organization or non-profit educational
institution. You may reproduce and use these materials only for use in
agricultural educational services which you provide.
You may not use these materials for commercial or for-profit use.
When using Cultivating Success
TM
curriculum materials, you must include the copyright notice on all
copies of the materials. That notice shall state “Copyrighted by
Cultivating Success
TM,
2008.” When using any of
the Cultivating Success
TM
publications and handouts you must attribute the work to Cultivating
Success
TM.
Cultivating Success
TM
materials must not be sold in whole or in part to students of your
program or to members of the public. Not withstanding the foregoing, the
program is entitled to recoup direct costs of reproducing the materials
for students.
You agree that in using Cultivating Success
TM
curriculum materials you will not discriminate against any student on
the basis of race, religion, creed, color, national origin, families
with children, sex, marital status, sexual orientation (to include
gender identity), age, honorably discharged veteran or military status,
or the presence of any sensory, mental, or physical disability or the
use of a trained dog guide or service animal by a person with a
disability.
You may use the name Cultivating Success
TM
solely to provide copyright notice and credit the materials to
Cultivating Success
TM.
Do not use the name “Cultivating Success
TM”
to refer to your program or classes without the prior written permission
of Cultivating Success
TM
or unless you are a certified Cultivating Success
TM
Instructor or Farmer Mentor who has attended a training session hosted
by Cultivating Success
TM.
You may use an entire Cultivating Success
TM
handbook or manual in your educational program and classes or you may
add or remove materials and examples as necessary to make the curriculum
materials relevant to your community, students or farmers involved in
your educational program.
Do not add Cultivating Success
TM
copyright statement onto any materials not contained in the original
curriculum.
